Discover the nourishing power of homemade Crock Pot Marrow Bone Broth—rich, flavorful, and packed with health benefits. Simmered low and slow, this broth extracts essential nutrients from marrow bones, creating a delicious and versatile base for soups, stews, or sipping on its own.
Marrow Bone Broth is not only delicious and easy to make, but it also has many other potential health benefits such as anti-inflammatory properties and an essential variety of minerals. These minerals can enhance skin and joint health as well as promote healthy sleep patterns.
1. First, you are going to need to roast your marrow bones in the oven for a bit. This will give color and body to the bone broth. To do that, pre-heat your oven to 375 degrees. Place the marrow bones in a single layer on a cookie sheet and roast the bones for around 30-45 minutes. The bones will be dark.
2. Place the roasted bones in the bottom of the crock pot and then top the marrow bones with the remaining ingredients.
3. Add water to the pot, enough to cover the marrow bones and the other ingredients. Place the lid on top of the pot and set the crock pot to the low setting.
4. Slowly cook the bone broth between 24 - 48 hours. The longer the broth cooks, the more dense the flavor will be.
5. Remove the bones and strain the broth through a fine mesh strainer. You can store the bone broth in jars, or any other lidded vessel, in the refrigerator up to 1 week.
